''There were planeloads of people,'' Millett said during a hearing about the legality of the deportation flights.
''There were no procedures in place to notify people.''
''Nazis got better treatment under the Alien Enemies Act than has happened here.''
Border Czar Tom Homan did not hold back when responding to Millett's unhinged remarks.
Homan told Fox Business host Stuart Varney, ''Well, it's disgusting, right? What? Comparing this to the Holocaust? Comparing this to the Nazis? I mean, come on, give me a break. I don't even know what the comparison even means.''
''All I know, we follow the process. The President of the United States, through his proclamation, invoked the authorities he has within the Alien Enemies Act, an act that was enacted by Congress and signed by the President.''
''We're enforcing the law with the laws that are on the books.''
''We're not making this up. Unlike the last administration, who several district court judges said, not only were they ignoring the law, they were actually violating the law when they were abusing the parole process.''

I'm relying on memory here, and I'm getting pretty old, so memory's probably not perfect. In June 1942 eight Nazi spies were put ashore by submarine in Operation Pastorius. Four went ashore at Long Island, and the other four went ashore in Florida. Two of the eight Aryan Soopermen (not the two who were American citizens, either) turned themselves in and testified against the other six. They were tried by a military tribunal (see Supreme Court decision ex parte Quirin 317 US 1 (1942)) and all eight were sentenced to death. President Roosevelt commuted the sentences of the two who had turned themselves in. The other six swung within ninety days of getting their feet wet.
