[Korrespondent] The Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding back Russian attacks in the east and south of Ukraine.
Enemy troops have organized 29 assaults in the areas of 11 settlements. Most of the attacks have already been repelled.
Since the beginning of the current day, 64 combat clashes have occurred on the front, almost half of them in the Pokrovsk direction. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational report as of 16:00 on Wednesday, March 19.
Thus, in the Kharkov direction, the Russians attacked once near Dvurechnaya. The fighting continues to this day.
In the Kupyansk direction, Russian occupiers carried out one attack near Zagryzovo.
In the Liman direction, the enemy carried out six attacks near Yampolevka and in the direction of the settlement of Novoye. One combat clash continues.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy tried to advance forward in the direction of Aleksandro-Shultino, but the attack was repelled.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy is trying to penetrate the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense in the area of ​​Toretsk, Krymskoye and Dilievka. Six assaults have been repelled, three more attacks are ongoing.
In the Pokrovsky direction, the Russians organized 29 assaults in the areas of the settlements of Tarasovka, Elizavetovka, Promin, Lysovka, Novoukrainka, Zverevo, Udachnoye, Uspenovka, Preobrazhenka, Alekseyevka, Andreyevka. The defense forces repelled 24 attacks, five combat clashes are still ongoing.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, our defenders repelled five assaults. The enemy tried to advance in the Constantinople area.
In the Gulyai-Polye direction, the enemy is attacking in the direction of Novopol, and one combat clash continues.
In the Orekhov direction, the occupiers carried out two attacks in the direction of Stepovoye. The fighting continues to this day.
The operation in Kursk region is also continuing . Our soldiers have repelled nine enemy attacks, four battles are still ongoing.
We remind you that in one day on March 18, Russia lost more than 1,000 fighters killed and wounded. The total number of Russian losses will exceed 900 thousand by the end of this week.
