[Regnum] Frosts and snow are expected in Moscow and the region in the coming days, which will remind us of the recently departed winter. This was reported by the leading specialist of the Phobos weather center Evgeny Tishkovets.
According to him, snow is possible in Moscow on the night of Saturday, March 15, and in the Moscow region the temperature may drop to -2°C. On Monday, March 17, a cold front will bring local precipitation in the form of snow. At night the temperature will be around -1°C, and during the day around 0°C.
"Nature will come to its senses" only from the middle of next week, the forecaster noted. Thanks to the anticyclone, the weather will improve, and warm March days will set in in Moscow, as well as in Central Russia. Already on Wednesday, the temperature will rise to +6–7°C, and by Saturday, in the middle of the day, the air will warm up to +14°C, Tishkovets added.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, Tishkovets also warned that today, March 14, a nine-point storm is expected in Moscow. On Friday, there will be rain again, and the temperature at night will be +7–10°C, and during the day +11–14°C, which may also become a record. Wind gusts in Moscow in the middle of the day on March 14 will reach a dangerous 18–23 m/s, and the storm will peak between 15:00 and 18:00, which on the Beaufort scale corresponds to a nine-point storm.
According to Tishkovets, with such a wind, the air flow exerts pressure of up to 30-35 kg per 1 square meter, which can lead to the breakage of tree branches, their tilting, obstruction of pedestrian movement, demolition of shaky structures and damage to roofs and chimneys.
