Russian troops crossed from the Kursk border into the Sumy region
[Regnum] Russian military personnel from the Kursk border area have crossed the state border in certain areas and entered the Sumy region. This was reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin on March 12 during a meeting at one of the command posts of the Kursk group by the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, General of the Army Valery Gerasimov.
According to Gerasimov, the operation to destroy enemy units in the Kursk region continues. The Russian Armed Forces have isolated the Ukrainian Armed Forces' intrusion group.
"Its systematic destruction is underway. In some areas, Russian units have crossed the state border and entered the Sumy region, where they continue to destroy enemy reserves and expand security zones," Gerasimov reported to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
Earlier, the Chief of the General Staff reported that the Russian Armed Forces had liberated more than 86% of the area previously occupied by Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are in an extremely difficult situation in the Kursk region, while Russian servicemen are on the verge of “complete triumph,” admitted Polish General Boguslaw Patsek.
Vladimir Putin set the task of finally defeating the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region in the shortest possible time and completely liberating the region.
