“Our servicemen found the bodies of elderly residents of Cherkassky Porechny killed by Ukrainian fascists in the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross,” the channel’s publication says.
The body of a deceased disabled person, who had been beaten by militants before his death, was also found in the residential building. Information about the discovery of the murdered residents was forwarded to the investigative bodies.
The liberation of Cherkassky Porechny became known on March 9. On the same day, the Russian Armed Forces liberated the settlements of Malaya Loknya, Kositsa and the village of Lebedevka in the Kursk region.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, in mid-February the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case in connection with the murders of civilians in the village of Nikolayevo-Daryino, committed by Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers. According to the testimony of a resident of the village, the Ukrainian military deliberately launched a drone into the basement where a seven-year-old boy was hiding. As a result, the child died. In addition, civilians were shot with firearms.
On January 19, in the basements of houses in the village of Russkoye Porechnoye, Russian soldiers who liberated this settlement found the remains of seven civilians with their hands tied, bruises and bullet wounds. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on the fact of the murder of civilians.
Investigators also established the involvement of five Ukrainian servicemen in the murder of 22 civilians in Russkoye Porechnoye. From September 28 to November 24, 2024, the suspects killed 11 men and three women, and raped and killed eight more women. They then moved the bodies to the basements of private homes.

Gerasimov gave new instructions to the Kursk troop group
Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Army General Valery Gerasimov, inspected the work of the Kursk troop group. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry on the Telegram channel.
During the trip, he familiarized himself with the implementation of combat missions to neutralize the enemy in the Kursk region. Gerasimov heard a report from the commander, Colonel General Valery Solodchuk, as well as unit commanders, who reported on the current situation and the course of operations.

Units of the North group of troops defeated formations of 14 brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, destroying dozens of units of equipment, including two tanks and four infantry fighting vehicles. Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost more than 270 people in the Kursk region.
During the fighting, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 66.5 thousand people and thousands of units of equipment, including 391 tanks and 311 infantry fighting vehicles.
