[Korrespondent] The Ukrainian Armed Forces are engaged in heavy fighting in the east and south of Ukraine.
Russian troops organized 11 assaults in the Pokrovsky direction, but all of them ended without result for the invaders.
Since the beginning of the day, 59 combat clashes have occurred on the front in nine directions. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational report as of 16:00 on Wednesday, March 5.
Thus, in the Kharkov direction, Russian occupiers are trying to break through the defense in the direction of Vovchansk. The situation is under the control of the Defense Forces.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy once unsuccessfully attacked the positions of our units in the area of ​​the settlement of Golubovka.
In the Liman direction, the invaders carried out five attacks near Novomikhaylovka and Novoye. Four combat clashes are currently ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, our defenders repelled four attacks in the areas of Chasovy Yar, Aleksandro-Shultino and Predtechino. One combat clash continues.
In the Toretsk direction, the Russians tried to attack in the areas of Toretsk, Dachnoye and Dilievka. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled nine assaults, and three more clashes are still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsky direction, the enemy carried out 11 assaults in the areas of Elizavetovka, Promin, Peschanoye, Kotlino, Bogdanovka, Kotlyarovka and Andreyevka. The defense forces repelled all attacks.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces stopped two enemy attacks in the area of ​​Constantinople and Burlatskoye.
In the Orekhov direction, our defenders successfully repelled the enemy attack in the direction of Kamenskoye.
In the Kursk direction, Ukrainian defenders have repelled eight assaults, and four more clashes are ongoing.
Let us recall that in one day on March 4, the Ukrainian Armed Forces neutralized 1,250 Russian invaders. The total combat losses of the aggressor country Russia exceeded 880 thousand people.
