[Korrespondent] The Ukrainian Armed Forces are conducting defensive battles in the east and south of Ukraine.
The Russian invaders did not carry out active offensive operations in the Kupyansk, Gulyai-Pole and Dnieper directions.
Since the beginning of the current day, 57 combat clashes have occurred on the front, mainly in the Pokrovsk area and in the Kursk region. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational report as of 16:00 on Monday, March 3.
Thus, in the Kharkov direction, the Russians tried to advance towards Bochkovo and met with resistance.
In the Liman direction, the invading army attacked nine times near Novolyubovka and Yampolevka. Two of the clashes are still ongoing.
In the Seversky direction, our soldiers repelled an enemy attack in the Belogorovka area.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are repelling two assaults near Chasovy Yar and in the direction of Stupochki.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked the Toretsk area seven times. Three combat clashes are currently ongoing.
In the Pokrovsky direction, the Russians carried out 13 assaults in the areas of the settlements of Aleksandropol, Lisovka, Promin, Dachenskoye, Kotlino and Andreyevka. The defense forces repelled 11 attacks, two clashes are still ongoing.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, enemy units attacked six times near Constantinople and Skudnoye, three attacks are still ongoing.
Two combat clashes continue in the Orekhovo direction. The enemy is trying to advance in the direction of Stepnoye and near Nesteryanka.
In Kursk region our defenders repelled 13 attacks. Currently fighting continues in three locations.
It is also noted that the enemy did not conduct active offensive operations in the Kupyansk, Gulyai-Pole and Dnieper directions.
Let us recall that on March 2, Russia lost 1,350 soldiers on the front. The total losses of the aggressor country since the beginning of the war are approaching 880,000.
