[Korrespondent] Russian troops continue to concentrate their efforts on the Pokrovsky, Toretsky and Kursk directions.
Since the beginning of the day, 72 combat clashes have occurred on the front. Our defenders are stopping the enemy, holding the lines and destroying the plans of the Russians. At the same time, the Russians continue to concentrate their efforts on the Pokrovsky, Toretsky and Kursk directions. This was noted in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Sunday, March 2.
Border towns and villages of our country continue to be subjected to Russian artillery shelling. Today, the settlements of Timonovichi in the Chernihiv region; Gorki, Korenok, Petrushevka in the Sumy region were damaged. Lyutovka in the Kharkiv region was hit by air strikes.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy made one attempt to advance towards our positions in the area of ​​the settlement of Zagryzovo from the beginning of the day, which was successfully repelled by the Ukrainian defenders.
The aggressor attacked the positions of our troops in the Liman direction near the villages of Novoye and Novomikhaylovka seven times.
In the Kramatorsk direction, our defenders successfully repelled three enemy attacks in the areas of Chasovy Yar, Grigoryevka and Aleksandro-Shultinoye.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked the defensive positions of our troops in the Toretsk and Shcherbinovka areas 12 times. Six combat clashes are still ongoing.
The enemy remains highly active in the Pokrovsk direction. Clashes of varying intensity have broken out here 13 times today. Ukrainian soldiers repelled enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Tarasovka, Luch, Pokrovsk, Kotlino, Udachnoye, Kotlyarovka, Andreyevka and Ulakly. The settlements of Pokrovsk, Grishino and Leontovichi were subjected to air strikes.
The occupiers tried to break through four times in the direction of Constantinople and Skudnoye in the Novopavlovskoye direction, but were stopped by our defenders. The enemy launched air strikes on the areas of the settlements of Voskresenka and Yanvarskoye.
In the Gulyai-Polye direction, the aggressor carried out airstrikes in the areas of Gulyai-Polye, Zheleznodorozhny and Priyutny. In addition, in the area of ​​the settlement of Privolnaya, the Defense Forces successfully repelled one enemy attack.
The battle continues in the area of ​​the settlement of Nesteryanka in the Orekhov direction.
In the Dnieper direction, the enemy twice stormed the positions of our defenders; one combat clash is currently underway.
Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has not carried out any active operations in the Kharkov and Seversk directions.
In Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders repelled 14 attacks by the invaders, and eight more clashes are ongoing. In addition, the enemy launched 10 air strikes using 17 guided bombs.
Ukrainian paratroopers from the air defense unit of the 80th Galician Brigade destroyed Russian reconnaissance drones in the skies over Kursk region.
