[Korrespondent] Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding back Russian offensive in eastern and southern Ukraine.
The fiercest battles continue in the Pokrovsky direction. There the enemy is attacking in the areas of 14 settlements.
Since the beginning of the current day, 109 combat clashes have occurred on the front in 10 directions. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational report as of 16:00 on Tuesday, February 18.
Thus, in the Kupyansk direction, Russian invaders carried out 13 attacks near Petrovpavlovka, Peschanoye, Zagryzovo and Lozovaya. Five clashes are still ongoing.
In the Liman direction, the enemy carried out six attacks near the settlements of Kopanki, Makeyevka, Novolyubovka and Yampolevka. Three combat clashes are still ongoing.
In the Seversky direction, two armed clashes occurred near Belogorovka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy is trying to advance in the Vasyukovka area and in the direction of Aleksandro-Shultino. One of the three attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces has already been repelled.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy is trying to wedge in the areas of Krymskoe, Dilievka, Toretsk and Shcherbinovka. Nine attacks are ongoing, our defenders have already repelled six more assaults.
In the Pokrovsky direction, the Russians have already organized 33 assaults in the areas of the settlements of Tarasovka, Vodyanoye Vtoroy, Malinovka, Promin, Peschanoye, Kotlino, Nadezhdinka, Kotlyarovka, Novoaleksandrovka, Zaporozhye, Alekseyevka, Dachnoye, Shevchenko and Ulakli. Eight clashes are still ongoing.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, 13 assaults have been repelled, two more clashes are ongoing. The enemy is trying to advance in the areas of Razdolnoye, Konstantinopol and Burlatskoye.
In the Gulyai-Polye direction, the enemy attempted to advance 11 times in the Novosyolka and Novopol areas. Six enemy attacks have already been repelled by our defenders, and five more are ongoing.
In the Orekhov direction, a battle is underway in the area of ​​Malye Shcherbaki.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces operation in the Kursk region continues. Our soldiers repelled six enemy attacks, four combat clashes are still ongoing.
Let us recall that since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russian losses have exceeded 860 thousand people. In one day on February 17, the enemy lost about 1,200 fighters killed and wounded.
