Super Bowl Crowd Goes Wild as Jumbotron Shows Trump During National Anthem
2025-02-10
[Breitbart] The crowd at Super Bowl 59 went wild as Caesars Superdome cameras focused on Donald Trump during the national anthem.

As singer Jon Batiste warbled the national anthem ahead of the game in New Orleans, the cameras toured the stadium, observing the coaches and players as they swayed to the song. But when the cameras focused on Donald Trump, who stood giving a proud salute, and his daughter Ivanka, the crowd broke out in loud cheers.

#26  You sure this wasn't the Lions?

As someone who was a die hard KC fan entering into the Herm Edwards scour, and grew up watching Barry Sanders, was pulling a bit for Detroit to taste the fruits of successful building. At the risk of losing my Kansas Card by not paying attention anymore, was a passive observer, Philly had the habit of making good teams look bad.

Did anyone see the meme about 'the illusion of choice' where a person has to choose the turnstyle of either KC winning or PHL winning, but the routes go into the same chamber of 'Philly Burns'?

#23  Did the Chiefs show up?

They went into the 1st quarter looking at a historic win, and into the 4th quarter looking at a historic loss. It was over half into the 2nd quarter.

Not sure what the Eagles D was doing, with the camera zoomed in on the pocket and announcers not talking strategy, but they gave Mahomes an early case of Kermit Foot and it was 3 and outs, missed marks, multiple sacks and picks. Chiefs D did as fine as they could until they got tired and injured, with the Eagles having a 2:1 possession time advantage. Chiefs got a couple late TDs or else you'd see the blowout in the score.

But, of the 3 Stools of Super Bowl - game, show, and commercials, the game was the best aspect.

#22  I get that a team called Eagles won some sportsball game, but who was the other team?

Eh... the Swifts?

I didn't care enough to make the effort to look it up.

#19  How were the commercials this year? Usually I watch those while Mr. Wife watches the game, but I was so tired after the local Blues festival the night before that I skipped it.

#18  That was the single worst halftime show...so far. They get worse every year.

#17  Sickens me as well Abu. Worthless foks want their own national anthem and flag, go elsewhere and start a country.

#16  Yeah, this is a problem too. Black, white, red, brown, yellow, green or purple...one nation, one anthem, one flag. Please.

#15  I'm with NN2N1 about the NFL's virtue signalling. It's a big turn off for me. I can never forget that it all started with George Floyd the fentanyl junkie dying from an overdose and the white cop being blamed for it. The implication always seems to be that I'm a racist and a hater. I'm not and I resent the implication. I might be willing to start watching again if they would get rid of those stupid little slogans in the end zones and on the backs of the players' helmets. Just play football and keep the virtue signalling off the field.

#14  The halftime performer who unfurled a Sudanese-Palestinian flag was detained and yet these protesters get away with waving their foreign flag. I guess the venue and the number of people doing it makes a difference in whether or not the perpetrators will be detained.

Super Bowl Halftime Performer Detained After Unfurling Sudanese-Palestinian Flag: ‘The individual will (be) banned for life from all NFL stadiums and events,' NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy said in an emailed statement. The entertainment company, which produced the show, said that the act 'was neither planned nor part of the production and was never in any rehearsal'

#8  Halftime performer holds Sudanese-Palestinian flag, detained

A performer in Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl halftime show was detained on the field and could face charges after unfurling a combination Sudanese-Palestinian flag with "Sudan" and "Gaza" written on it.

The NFL confirmed the person was part of the 400-member field cast. The New Orleans Police Department said in a statement that "law enforcement is working to determine applicable charges in this incident."

The performer stood on a car used as a prop for Lamar's performance and held up the flag.
"The individual hid the item on his person and unveiled it late in the show," the NFL said. "No one involved with the production was aware of the individual's intent."

Roc Nation, the entertainment company that produced Sunday night's show, said the act "was neither planned nor part of the production and was never in any rehearsal."

The show continued without interruption, and it did not seem the person was shown on the broadcast of Lamar's performance.

Once NFL decides to be the Nation Football League again, and focused on the sport and not on politics and social issues.
Sure I will consider giving it yet another chance.

BTW: On my word to GOD, and I am only guessing based on comment #2? The Philly Eagles won??

#5  NN2N1, Trump's campaign and appearances like this one show he and his team are taking back popular culture. His presence was particularly important after the ISIS attack in New Orleans a month+ ago.

Meanwhile, while Trump did the media / popular culture thing Vance was representing the US at a high stakes international meeting about AI and regulations.

Didn't watch the SB game... and haven't watched any NFL game in many years.

Because, ever since the "Take a Knee" by Black Athlete Multimillionaires. Then add to it the special singing of the single colored race based National Anthem, it's no longer a unifying national game.

It has become just another Liberal Race Based Social Political event in too many ways.
