REPORT: Panama will now allow United States Navy ships free passage through the Panama Canal, saving the United States millions of dollars a year.

The development comes after Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s trip to Panama.

#2 Except that Nimitz class and on, the carriers are too big to fit in the locks. And if the carriers have to go around the Cape, so do the escorts. Because they're escorts.
