| #3 Oh yeah - and the border is 5,500 miles long (not including the Canadian-Alaskan border). So that's roughly 1 warm body every 1/2 mile. Presuming they never need to sleep or rotate out. And that the logistical tail is excess to the 10,000 number. And of course presuming that the Canadians actually were to honor their word (which I doubt) |

| #2 Canada promised 10,000 troops to patrol the border. Not clear if that's 10,000 additional or 10,000 total. They have 16,500 in their border patrol now. Active duty Canadian Army is 28,579. If it's 10,000 additional troops that's literally 1/3 of their available ground forces. Good thing they have zero committment elsewhere . . . |
