The Defense Forces continue to conduct an operation in the Kursk direction. Today, Ukrainian soldiers have repelled 12 attacks by the Russian army in this direction, and five combat clashes are currently ongoing.
The defense forces are directing their efforts to disrupt the Russian invaders' plans for their arrival and to exhaust their combat potential. Since the beginning of the day, 93 combat clashes have occurred. This was noted in the General Staff report on Sunday, February 2.
The enemy launched three missile and 36 air strikes, using three missiles and 62 guided bombs, 992 kamikaze drone strikes, and carried out almost 4,500 shelling attacks on our troop positions.
In the Kharkov direction, our troops repelled two enemy attacks in the area of ​​the settlement of Gatishche.
The enemy attacked our fortifications in the Kupyansk direction 18 times, in the areas of the settlements of Petrovpavlovka, Peschanoye, Stepnaya Novoselovka, Boguslavka, Zagryzovoye, Lozovaya, three combat clashes are still ongoing.
In the Liman direction, Russian troops stormed the positions of Ukrainian defenders eight times during the day near Novoegorovka, Novolyubovka, Makeyevka, Yampolevka and Serebryanka.
In the Seversky direction, units of the Defense Forces repelled two attacks by enemy troops near Belogorovka and Ivano-Daryevka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, our troops repelled two enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Predtechino and Chasov Yar, one attack is not yet complete.
In the Toretsk direction, the occupiers today stormed the positions of our defenders near Toretskaya and Krymskoye eight times.
In the Pokrovsky direction, the enemy carried out 39 assault and offensive actions during the day. The activity of the Russian occupiers is in the areas of Zelenoye Pole, Tarasovka, Uspenovka, Elizavetovka, Vodyanoye Vtoroy, Mirolyubovka, Luch, Kotlyarovka, Alekseyevka, Dachnoye and Ulaklev, two combat clashes are still ongoing.
According to preliminary estimates, today our soldiers eliminated 156 and wounded 195 Russians in this direction; destroyed one tank, two self-propelled artillery units, 16 vehicles, two radar stations, one motorcycle, and also damaged a BM-21 Grad MLRS, a mortar and two guns of the invaders.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the invaders carried out one attack on the positions of Ukrainian troops; the enemy attempted to advance in the direction of Constantinople.
In the Gulyai-Polye direction, the aggressor carried out an airstrike in the Novopol area.
In the Orekhov direction, there was one combat contact in the Kamenskoye area.
The Russian invaders did not carry out any offensive actions in the Dnieper direction, but they did launch an airstrike on the Kherson region.

The General Staff noted the Ukrainian soldiers of the 65th separate mechanized brigade, the 34th separate coastal defense brigade, the 100th separate mechanized brigade, and the 59th separate assault brigade named after Yakov Handzyuk, who steadfastly held back the invasion of the prevailing forces.
Let us recall that the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Unmanned Systems Forces destroyed a Buk M-2 launcher. It was then emphasized that this was already the enemy's fourth high-cost air defense system in the last two weeks.
In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed two powerful Pion self-propelled guns in the Russian rear.
Let us add that the Defense Forces continue to inflict damage on the aggressor country Russia. In particular, over the past 24 hours, they destroyed 1,320 occupiers and 148 units of enemy equipment.
