SDF arrests two suspected ISIS leaders in east Syria |

[Rudaw] The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said on Friday that they arrested two suspected Islamic State![]() Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... (ISIS) leaders in an operation in the east of the country. The two targets of the SDF operation were hiding in the town of Khisham, located in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor province, the force stated. They were identified as Karim al-Nahar, a security emir (leader) for the group, and Abdul Karim Amir al-Karim al-Nahar. "The captured turbans were involved in carrying out several terrorist acts against our forces and civilian institutions, in addition to targeting fuel tankers," the SDF stated. The SDF announced on Tuesday that it carried out nearly 100 operations against ISIS in 2024, resulting in the capture of 270 suspected members, including high-ranking leaders.
