Our own? Might makes right? You know damn well that people in other countries hate us for just that attitude. We've tried being the world's cop. You take a cop on the beat in any American city or town and that cop is getting paid. He might not be happy with his salary but at least he gets something for his service. America has never been paid for the services we have attempted to provide. We're the ones who always pay in the form of blood and treasure. Then the people we try to help end up hating us and kicking us in the shins. We've meddled in the affairs of all kinds of countries all over the world and it usually only makes things worse, creates even bigger problems. We need to let other people worry about their problems and start taking care of our own. |
