[Korrespondent] The Ukrainian Armed Forces are engaged in heavy fighting in the east and south of Ukraine.
Most enemy attacks are recorded in the Pokrovsky direction. There, Russian troops are trying to advance in the areas of 12 populated areas.
Since the beginning of the day, 84 combat clashes have occurred on the front in nine directions. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a report as of 16:00 on Tuesday, January 14.
Thus, in the Kupyansk direction, the Russians attacked twice in the area of ​​Novaya Kruglyakovka and Tabayevka. The battle is currently ongoing.
In the Liman direction, the invaders carried out 12 attacks near the settlements of Kopanki, Grekovka, Novoegorovka, Raigorodka, Makeyevka, Zarechnoye, Terny and Grigoryevka. Six clashes are still ongoing.
In the Seversky direction, the enemy tried to advance near Belogorovka, Verkhnekamenskoye, Ivano-Daryevka and Vyemka. 11 attacks were repelled, three combat clashes continue.
In the Kramatorsk direction, our defenders repelled five assaults. Eight attacks are ongoing. The Russians are trying to break through to Stupochki, Predtechino, Aleksandro-Shultino and the Chasovy Yar area.
In the Toretsk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are repelling two assaults in the Toretsk area.
In the Pokrovsky direction, Russian troops carried out 23 attacks near the settlements of Yantarnoye, Novotoretskoye, Promin, Zelenoe, Novy Trud, Chunishino, Zverovoye, Uspenovka, Novoandreyevka, Nadeyevka, Petropavlovka and Shevchenko. The defense forces repelled 15 assaults, eight combat clashes are ongoing.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the enemy tried to break through the defense of our defenders five times in the areas of the settlements of Velikaya Novosyolka and Neskuchnoye. The fighting continues.
In the Dnieper direction, the enemy once unsuccessfully attempted to storm the positions of our units.
In the Kursk direction, 12 armed clashes have occurred since the beginning of the day, four of which are still ongoing.
Let us recall that on January 13, Russia lost more than 1,300 soldiers at the front in one day . The total losses of the aggressor country exceeded 800,000 people.
