In the operational zone in Kursk region, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled two attacks by Russian invaders within 24 hours, and three more attacks are ongoing.
Russian invaders continue to storm the positions of Ukrainian defenders. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are inflicting significant losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment. In total, 75 combat clashes have occurred since the beginning of the day. This was noted in the General Staff report on Sunday, January 12.
Border settlements continue to suffer from shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation, including Studenok, Bachevsk in the Sumy region; Medvedevka, Timonovichi in the Chernihiv region.
Near the settlements of Volchansk and Kazachya Lopan in the Kharkov direction, since the beginning of the day, the enemy has twice attempted to break through the defensive lines of our defenders.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy carried out six assault actions near Petropavlovka and Peschanoye. Three combat clashes ended, three more are still ongoing.
In the Liman direction, the invading army attacked seven times near the settlements of Kopanki, Sheykovka, Pervomayskoye, Makeyevka, Terny and Zarechnoye. Three enemy attacks remained unfinished.
The defense forces repelled eight Russian attacks near Belaya Gora, Chasovy Yar and Stupochki in the Kramatorsk direction. Four enemy attacks are still ongoing.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked nine times near the settlements of Toretsk, Belaya Gora and Shcherbinovka. The clashes continue.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have made 33 attempts to push our defenders from their positions in the areas of the settlements of Elizavetovka, Lisovka, Zelenoe, Novy Trud, Pokrovsk, Udachnoye, Kotlino, Novovasilovka, Serebryanoye, Petrovpavlovka, Shevchenko, Dachnoye. The defense forces are holding back the enemy's onslaught and have repelled 22 attacks, 11 clashes are still ongoing. The enemy's losses are being clarified.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the occupiers once attacked the positions of our troops near Constantinople. The enemy dropped three UABs on Novopol.
Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has not carried out any active operations in the Orekhov, Gulyai-Polye and Pridneprovsk directions.
