Nigerian troops repellled Boko Haram ambush in Borno last week, killed 34 insurgents |

[MSN] The Nigerian military said on Wednesday its troops had killed 34 Islamist snuffies in a shootout in northeastern Borno state and six soldiers had also died. The clash took place on Saturday in Sabon Gari village when the snuffies ambushed troops returning to a military base, military front man Major-General Edward Buba said. The snuffies belonged to the Boko Haram ![]() and Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi.
