[Korrespondent] The Ukrainian Armed Forces are engaged in heavy fighting in the east and south of Ukraine.
Russian troops attacked in the areas of 11 settlements. Currently, 10 combat clashes are ongoing.
Since the beginning of the day, 121 combat clashes have occurred on the front. Almost half of them are in the Pokrovsk direction, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in an operational report as of 16:00 on Saturday, January 11.
It was stated that Ukrainian troops are exhausting the enemy along the entire line of combat engagement and in the rear.
Thus, in the Kupyansk direction, the enemy tried to advance 13 times in the areas of Golubovka, Sinkovka, Stepnaya Novoselovka and Zagryzovoye. Nine battles are currently underway.
In the Liman direction, 16 combat clashes occurred near Zeleny Gai, Novoegorovka, Makeyevka, Terny, Zarechny, Grigoryevka and in the Serebryansky forest. Two combat clashes are still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, 13 Russian attacks were recorded in the areas of the settlements of Chasov Yar and Stupochki. Ten of them have already been repelled.
In the Toretsk direction, the invaders unsuccessfully attacked five times in the areas of Toretsk and Dilievka.
The enemy's highest activity remains in the Pokrovsky direction - 56 combat clashes of varying intensity. The enemy attacked in the areas of the settlements of Baranovka, Elizavetovka, Luch, Lisovka, Zelenoe, Novy Trud, Zverevoye, Novoandreyevka, Uspenovka, Slavyanka and Konstantinopolskoye. 46 enemy attacks have been repelled, another 10 combat clashes are ongoing.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the enemy attacked five times near Novoselka and Bolshaya Novoselka.
There was one combat clash in the Dnieper direction. The enemy had no success.
In Kursk region, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 12 enemy assaults, three of which are still ongoing.
Earlier it became known that the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade had broken up Russian columns in the Kharkov region. According to military estimates, on January 8 and 9, "almost a tank battle near Brody in 1941" actually took place. The occupiers lost 20 units of equipment.

General Staff on Russian losses near Pokrovsk for the day
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are actively destroying Russian aggressors.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have repelled more than 50 Russian attacks in the areas of 11 populated areas. However, active clashes continue to this day.

"According to preliminary estimates, today our soldiers eliminated 189 and wounded 188 occupiers. One tank, two armored personnel carriers, three vehicles and the antenna of a Russian UAV were destroyed. Two cars were also damaged," the statement said.
In total, 157 combat clashes have occurred on the front since the beginning of the current day, 63 of which were in the Pokrovsk direction. The greatest activity of Russian occupiers here remains in the areas of the settlements of Baranovka, Elizavetovka, Luch, Lisovka, Zelenoe, Novy Trud, Zverevoye, Novoandreyevka, Uspenovka, Slavyanka and Konstantinopolskoye. The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 52 attacks, another 11 combat clashes are still ongoing.
Also among the hottest areas today are Kramatorsk (22 armed clashes), Limanskoye (19), Kurskoye (17) and Kupyanskoye (16).
"Today, it is worth noting the soldiers of the 79th separate airborne assault Tavricheskaya brigade, the 100th separate mechanized brigade and the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Daniel, who are effectively destroying the enemy, inflicting significant losses in manpower," the General Staff added.
Let us recall that in the course of 24 hours on January 10, the Ukrainian Armed Forces "minus" about 1,600 Russians. The total losses of the aggressor country Russia exceeded 800 thousand people.
