Ukrainian defenders in the Kursk region have repelled 32 attacks by the occupiers today, with one battle continuing.
The situation in the Pokrovsk direction remains the most acute, with 35 enemy attacks recorded there. As of the evening of January 1, there were 125 combat clashes on the front. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy attacked our fortifications in the areas of Kolesnikovka, Zagryzovo, Lozovaya and Novaya Kruglyakovka seven times. Five combat clashes are currently ongoing.
In the Liman direction, Russian troops stormed the positions of Ukrainian defenders 16 times during the day near Novosergeevka, Tverdokhlebovo, Kopanki, Makeyevka, Ivanovka and Serebryansky forest. Two enemy attacks in the areas of Torskoye and Terny are still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, our troops repelled 14 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Chasov Yar, Stupochki and Predtechino. Two combat clashes are still ongoing.
In the Toretsk direction, the occupiers have stormed our defenders' positions seven times today. In the Shcherbinovka area, all attacks have been repelled; three enemy attacks are still ongoing in the Toretsk area and in the Dilievka direction.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 35 assault and offensive actions during the day. The greatest activity of the Russian occupiers continues in the areas of Vozdvizhenka, Mirolyubovka, Lisovka, Novo Trud, Solenoy, Kotlino, Peschany, Pokrovsk, Novoalekseyevka, Zelenoy, Novoolenovka, Dachenskoye and Novovasilovka. Thirteen assaults on the positions of our troops are still ongoing.
Today, in this direction, our soldiers eliminated 161 and wounded 143 occupiers in this direction; destroyed an armored personnel carrier and five vehicles, and also damaged three units of automotive equipment and one enemy armored combat vehicle.
The enemy is attacking in the Kurakhovo direction , and also intensively. There are currently 18 combat clashes per day near Ukrainka, Petrovpavlovka and Kurakhovo, and four combat clashes are currently ongoing. The enemy's losses in this direction amounted to 86 occupiers killed and wounded; in addition, five armored combat vehicles were destroyed and one infantry fighting vehicle of the invaders was damaged.
In the Vremovsky direction, our troops repelled 17 enemy attacks near Dachnoye, Konstantinopol, Yantarny, Novosyolka, Razliv and Novy Komar; six combat clashes are still ongoing.
In the Orekhov direction, our troops successfully repelled one enemy attack near the settlement of Novoandreyevka.
In the Dnieper direction, the enemy today carried out two unsuccessful assaults in the area of ​​Zabich Island.
