Asserting it can’t produce list of hostages while war ongoing, Hamas said to propose 7-day pause so it can account for captives UPDATE: Never mind, not gonna happen |

Reeking of desperation, they try anything to get Israel to stop. [IsraelTimes] Against the backdrop of its assertion that it cannot produce a list of the living Israeli hostages in its control amid the ongoing Gaza war, Hamas has reportedly proposed that Israel agree to a seven-day ceasefire that would allow the terror group to put together the names of hostages that it can release in a potential deal with Israel.During the week-long ceasefire, no hostages would be released, but Israeli troops would be allowed to remain in Gaza and those displaced would remain barred from returning to the northern part of the Strip, the Kan public broadcaster reports, acknowledging that Israel is unlikely to accept the proposal. Report: Hostage deal talks reach impasse with agreement unlikely before end of Biden’s term [IsraelTimes] Discussions to secure a hostage-ceasefire deal have reached a dead end, Arab mediators tell the Wall Street Journal. The impasse means that is unlikely an agreement will be secured before the end of the Biden administration, the report says. According to the mediators, the sides were mulling a 60-day truce that would see up to 30 hostages released while Israel would set free Palestinian prisoners and increase the flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza. The outlet says “both parties hardened their positions,” with Israel insisting that only living hostages be freed and refusing to approve some of the Palestinian prisoners named by Hamas, while the terror group for its part returned to insisting on a path toward the end of the war sparked by its October 7 onslaught. The mediators tell the Journal they expect both sides to return to the negotiating table after US-president elect Donald Trump takes office on January 20. |

#5 I can see Trump telling Israel to withdraw from Gaza after his inauguration, then ARCLIGHTing the SH$$ out of the area. It would actually be the only thing that bunch of idiots would understand. Total destruction of Gaza and returning the territory to Israel would REALLY shake up the Muddled East. |

#4 they try anything to get Israel to stop NO WAY THAT'S TRUE. Hamas will never try the obvious option, to stop fighting and disband. |

#2 The tunnels from Gaza to Egypt were operational for months after 10/7. Could some of the hostages be alive and outside of Gaza? |

#1 With each rejection of a hostage deal, it becomes clearer and clearer that Hamas is not in control of the issue. Is it higher up, like Iran running the show in the background? We also know they are lying about the numbers of alive hostages in captivity. So I guess they have no intensions or permission, at this time, to deal. Only to play it to the hilt for MSM coverage. So What Next? Say, what if, there be any babies that were produced by the Hamas gang rapes over the last 14 months? Will we see new hostages deals for their return? |
