[Korrespondent] The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct an operation in Kursk region, where the enemy carried out 26 assaults on Ukrainian units' positions in 24 hours, with one combat contact still ongoing.
Ukrainian defenders continue to resolutely rebuff the enemy's attempts to advance deep into our territory, exhausting the entire front line. In total, 207 combat clashes have occurred on the front since the beginning of the day. This is stated in the General Staff report on Sunday, December 22.
In the Kharkov direction, since the beginning of the day, the enemy has been conducting offensive actions in the areas of the settlements of Goptivka, Glubokoe, Vysoka Yaruga, Bugrovatka, Staritsa; a total of seven clashes have occurred.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy carried out seven assaults on our defenders' positions in the areas of Kucherovka, Stepnaya Novoselovka, Boguslavka, Zagryzovoye and Novaya Kristinovka. Ukrainian defenders repelled five attacks, two are still ongoing.
In the Liman direction, since the beginning of the day, Russian invaders have attacked Ukrainian positions 36 times near the settlements of Zeleny Gai, Novosergeevka, Novoyegorovka, Grekovka, Makeyevka, Nadiya, Ivanovka, Terny, Toretsk, Grigorovka and in the direction of Druzhelyubovka, Dibrova, Serebryanka. Our defenders are still repelling eighteen attacks.
In the Seversky direction, the enemy attacked 12 times during the day in the areas of Belogorovka, Verkhnekamenskoye, Ivano-Daryevka and Vyemka. One combat contact is still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, seven combat encounters were recorded near Vasukivka, Chasovy Yar and Stupochki, four attacks have already been successfully repelled by our defenders, and three more combat clashes are ongoing.
In the Toretsk direction, the Russians attacked the positions of the defense forces seven times. The occupiers concentrated their main offensive efforts near the settlements of Toretsk and Druzhba. Currently, four combat clashes are ongoing.
Since the beginning of this day, in the Pokrovsk direction , the occupiers have tried to break through our defenses 34 times near the settlements of Lisovka, Sukhaya Balka, Luch, Zelenoe, Ukrainka, Dachenskoye, Shevchenko, Novoukrainka, Pokrovsk, Novovasilovka, Novolizavetovka and Novoolenovka. Seven clashes are still ongoing.
In the Kurakhovsky direction, the aggressor attacked our positions 26 times near the settlements of Solntsevka, Starye Terny, Kurakhovo, Yasenovo, Dachnoye and in the direction of Andreyevka. All attacks have already been repelled.
In the Vremivsky direction, the invaders carried out 36 offensive actions near Velikaya Novosyolka, Konstantinopolskoye, Yantarny, Uspenovka, Razliv, Razdolnoye, Novosyolka, Blagovatnoye, Vremovka and in the area of ​​the settlement of Bogatyr. Eight combat contacts are still ongoing.
In the Orekhov direction, the enemy once attacked in the Novoandreyevka area.
In the Dnieper direction, our troops repelled three attacks by the invaders.

The General Staff noted the soldiers of the 3rd operational brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, the 406th separate artillery brigade named after General-Khorunzhy Oleksiy Almazov, the 38th separate marine brigade, the 25th separate airborne Sicheslav brigade, the 414th separate brigade of strike unmanned aerial systems, who effectively destroy the enemy, inflicting significant losses in manpower.
Let us recall that from February 24, 2022 to December 22, 2024, the total combat losses of Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine amounted to approximately 774,100 people (1,820 per day).
