Kurakhove is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The situation is complicated by the significant superiority of the Russians in manpower.
This was stated by the spokesman for the Khortytsia Regional Administrative District Nazar Voloshyn, RBC-Ukraine writes.
"In the Kurakhiv direction, this city (Kurakhove, - ed.) is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, the enemy does not give up trying. Our military is conducting active combat operations to hold positions. The situation is, of course, complicated by the enemy's significant superiority in manpower," Voloshyn notes.
On the southeastern outskirts and in the urban area of ​​the southern part of Kurakhovo, the Russians conducted active assault operations. The enemy is concentrating reserves of personnel in the entire direction and near the city. The Russians involved the 90th Tank Division, the 20th Motorized Rifle Division, and the 5th and 110th Motorized Rifle Brigades in the attacks.
"For the enemy, it is important to level the front line in this direction. After all, this will give him the opportunity to both regroup and withdraw some units for recovery, then concentrate them for a further offensive in this area," explained the spokesman for the Khortytsia Special Operations Command.
Today, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Defense Forces repelled 32 attacks in the Kurakhiv direction. The occupiers tried to advance in the areas of Stary Terni, Sontsivka, Zory, Kurakhovo, and Uspenivka.
