[Korrespondent] Ukrainian Armed Forces Contain Russian Attacks in Eastern and Southern Ukraine.
The enemy is most active in the Pokrovsk direction. There, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 24 attacks near six populated areas.
Since the beginning of the day, 102 combat clashes have occurred on the front in eight directions and in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a report as of 16:00 on Monday, December 9.
Thus, in the Kharkov direction, three armed clashes occurred near Glubokoye and Vovchansk.
In the Kupyansk direction, the Russians twice tried to advance in the area of ​​Lozovaya and Zagryzovoye. One attack was repelled, a battle is underway.
In the Liman direction, 10 combat clashes occurred near Grekovka, Zeleny Gai, Nadezhda, Makeyevka, Torskoye and Yampolevka. Six combat clashes are ongoing.
In the Toretsk direction, the invaders attacked six times in the areas of Toretsk and Nelipovka.
The enemy remains highly active in the Pokrovsky direction - clashes of varying intensity have occurred 29 times.
The situation in the Kurakhovsky direction remains difficult. Near Solntsevka, Starye Terny, Zarya, Dalny, Dachny and Kurakhovoye, 16 assaults have been repelled, nine combat clashes are still ongoing.
In the Vremevsky direction, the aggressors attacked 14 times in the direction of Constantinople, Novosyolki and near Storozhev. Five battles are currently underway.
In the Dnieper direction, Russian invaders attacked three times and received a fierce rebuff.
In Kursk region, Ukrainian units are repelling six attacks.
Let us recall that on December 8, more than 1,200 Russians were killed at the front in one day.
