"In light of rapid developments and delicate circumstances that the region is going through... units tasked with monitoring and controlling the northern and eastern borders have been reinforced, in conjunction with tightening surveillance measures," the army said in a statement. The IDF says it carried out strikes in other areas of southern Lebanon today, targeting Hezbollah operatives. Under the ceasefire agreement, the operatives are meant to withdraw to north of the Litani River. The IDF is still deployed to southern Lebanon, and it has until late January to withdraw under the ceasefire deal.
