#7  Thanks, that explains some of it, but still the deficit mainly exists because the U.S. imports far more energy from Canada than vice versa, at least according to these numbers.

#5  EC, The Canadians are importing Chinese products and relabeling them as made in Canada. Not part of the treaty they signed. Mexico is doing the same except in more volume.
Hope that helps.

#4  In 2022, the biggest trade deficits are recorded with China, Mexico, Vietnam, Canada, Germany, Japan, and Ireland, and the biggest trade surpluses with the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Brazil, Singapore, Australia, and United Kingdom.

So is the U.S. "ripping off" the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Brazil, Singapore, Australia, and United Kingdom?

China certainly is a different story but is Canada engaging in unfair trade politics? Major Canadian exports to the U.S. are crude petroleum and other energy sources.

#3  Maybe Canadians will wake up and dump Trudeau and get someone in there who is worth a damn. Maybe it would be easier to annex Canada.

#1  Puerto Rico is already a pending Dem state. No need to add a second. If they elected Trudeau, we want no part of them.
