'Nobody Is Above The Law,' German FM Baerbock Says Of Netanyahu's Warrant
2024-11-25
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could face arrest if he travels to Germany, according to the country's top diplomat.

"The German government abides by the law, because nobody is above the law," Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock
…Green Party, so the watermelon portion of the far left spectrum. They object to Jews and Israel as a matter of principle…
said on Monday on the sidelines of a meeting of G7 foreign ministers in Fiuggi, Italy.

On Thursday, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and the recently dismissed Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

#7  The ICC isn't a political court. It is used to bring the tyrants their political opponents.

#1  Not in Bavaria:

Bavaria's Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) has strongly condemned the international arrest warrants against Israel's head of government Benjamin Netanyahu and former defence minister Joav Galant for alleged war crimes in the war against the Palestinian terrorist organisation Hamas.

"We stand by Israel and the right to self-defence," Söder affirmed in Munich during his speech as guest of honour at the Council of the Central Council of Jews. "I find it disconcerting when the International Criminal Court equates Israel and Hamas. The Criminal Court has massively damaged itself".

Bavaria is firmly committed to Israel and to the security of the Jewish state as a German reason of state. "This is not only a moral obligation and reason of state, we also share the same values with our Israeli friends," explained Söder. "Israel is the only true democracy in the region. We take Israel's right to self-defence for granted."

In a subsequent question and answer session, Söder responded to a delegate's question about the latest decision by the International Criminal Court (ICC) by saying: "I would find it absurd if the head of the Israeli government were to be arrested on German soil."
