[Korrespondent] Ukrainian Armed Forces Contain Russian Attacks in Eastern and Southern Ukraine.
The fiercest battles are taking place in the Kurakhovsky direction. Currently, Ukrainian troops are repelling 18 assaults.
Since the beginning of the current day, 114 combat clashes have occurred on the front. Russian troops are particularly active in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhovsky directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a report as of 16:00 on Friday, November 8.
Thus, in the Kharkov direction, the Russians twice stormed the Volchansk area.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy actively advanced nine times in the areas of Kondrashovka, Kolesnikovka, Zagryzovoye, Lozovoye and Berestovoye. All enemy attacks were repelled.
In the Liman direction, the invaders carried out nine assaults near Grekovka, Zarechny, Terny, Torskoye and Grigoryevka. Eight combat clashes ended without success for the enemy, and another one is ongoing.
In the Seversky direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled an attack near the settlement of Belogorovka. Another clash continues.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Russians are storming near Bondarnoye. The situation there is under control.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy concentrated its offensive efforts in the areas of Toretsk and Shcherbinovka. Four combat clashes occurred, which were successfully repelled.
In the Pokrovsky direction, the occupiers have already carried out 24 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Mirolyubovka, Novotoretskoye, Luch, Lisovka, Kruty Yar, Selidovo, Vishnevoye and Mlechnoye. The defense forces have repelled 19 assaults. The remaining clashes are still ongoing.
In the Kurakhovsky direction, the enemy organized 32 assaults near Ilyinka, Berestki, Novoselidovka, Novodmitrovka, Voznesenka, Maksimovka, Antonovka and Yekaterinovka. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 18 attacks. Fierce fighting is underway.
In the Vremivsky direction, the enemy has attacked six times near Bogoyavlenka. Two combat clashes are ongoing.
In the Orekhov direction, the occupiers attacked near Novoandreyevka.
In the Dnieper direction, the invaders carried out one unsuccessful assault.
Let us recall that on November 7, the losses of Russian troops reached 1,580 people. The total losses of the Russian Federation since the beginning of the war have already crossed the line of 700 thousand soldiers killed and wounded.
