[Korrespondent] Ukrainian Armed Forces Contain Russian Attacks in Eastern and Southern Ukraine.
The enemy is most actively advancing in the Kurakhovsky direction. So far, Ukrainian units have repelled 13 attacks there.
Since the beginning of the current day, 74 combat clashes have occurred on the front in seven directions. Russian aggressors continue to be active in Donbas, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a report as of 16:00 on Friday, November 1.
Thus, in the Kupyansk direction, the enemy tried to advance towards our positions in the Petropavlovka and Lozovaya areas twice during the day. One battle is ongoing near Lozovaya.
In the Liman direction, the enemy organized 12 assaults near Druzhelyubovka, Yekaterinovka, Grekovka, Makeyevka, Terny and in the Serebryansky forest. Four combat clashes continue.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled one attack near Stupochki.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy attacked 21 times in the areas of Sukha Balka, Mirolyubovka, Nikolaevka, Lysovka, Krutoy Yar, Novogrodovka and Selidovoye. Two battles are still ongoing in the area of ​​Vishnevoye.
In the Kurakhovsky direction, 24 combat clashes occurred near Ostrovsky, Ilyinka, Novoselidovka, Kremennaya Balka, Novodmitrovka, Volchenka, Maksimilyanovka, Dalniy, Antonovka and Yekaterinovka. Currently, 13 attacks are ongoing.
In the Vremivsky direction, the aggressor once stormed the Trudovoye area.
In the Dnieper direction, the enemy carried out three unsuccessful attacks.
Let us recall that on October 31, 170 battles took place on the front in 24 hours, almost a quarter of which were in the Kurakhovsky direction.
The Russians are paying a high price for their advance in the east - the Russian army has lost about 1,500 fighters in one day. The total number of losses since the start of the war is approaching 700,000.
