[Korrespondent] Ukrainian Armed Forces Contain Russian Attacks in Eastern and Southern Ukraine.
The Pokrovsky direction has the largest number of clashes. The enemy is attacking in the areas of four populated areas.
Since the beginning of the current day, 73 combat clashes have occurred on the front. Almost 60% of the battles are being conducted in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhovsky directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a report as of 16:00 on Tuesday, October 22.
Thus, in the Kharkov direction, the Russians stormed the areas of Staritsa and Vovchansk four times. Three combat clashes are ongoing.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy attacked six times near Peschanoye, Kolesnikovka and Lozovaya. The fighting continues.
In the Liman direction, the enemy advanced in the areas of Grekovka, Novomikhaylovka, Terny and Torskoye. Since the beginning of the day, seven attacks have been repelled. One combat clash continues.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the invaders are carrying out assault operations near Vasyukovka.
The Pokrovsky direction has seen the largest number of clashes since the start of the day - 26. The enemy is attacking in the areas of the populated areas of Mirolyubovka, Promin, Lisovka, Selidovo. Almost half of all clashes occurred near Selidovo. The defense forces repelled 16 assaults.
In the Kurakhovsky direction, the invaders attacked 15 times near Gornyak, Novodmitrovka, Ostroy, Katerinovka and Antonovka. The fighting continues.
In the Vremevsky direction, the Russians are trying to advance towards Bogoyavlenka from Ugledar and Vodyanoye.
The enemy carried out two attacks in the Dnieper direction. The clash continues.
Let us recall that on October 21, 134 combat clashes occurred on the front. The Ukrainian Armed Forces "minus" more than 1,300 Russian aggressors.
