[Korrespondent] The Ukrainian Armed Forces are engaged in heavy fighting in the east and south of Ukraine.
The enemy organized most of the attacks in the Kurakhovsky direction. Currently, fighting continues there in eight locations.
The situation at the front remains tense. Since the beginning of the day, 88 combat clashes have occurred. The hottest now are in the Limansky, Kupyansky, Pokrovsky and Kurakhovsky directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a report as of 16:00 on Monday, October 7.
Thus, in the Kharkov direction, Russian aggressors stormed the positions of Ukrainian troops in the area of ​​Staritsa and Vovchansk. All attacks were repelled.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy organized 15 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Sinkovka, Novoselovka, Glushkovka, Lozovaya and Kruglyakovka. Ten clashes continue.
In the Liman direction, the enemy is trying to advance near Makeyevka, Grekovka, Nevsky, Novosadovy, Torskoye and in the Serebryansky forest. In total, since the beginning of the day, there have already been 16 combat clashes in this direction. 11 of them are still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy carried out one assault near Stupochki.
In the Toretsk direction, the number of attacks increased to eight near the settlements of Toretsk, Dilievka and Nelipovka. Our defenders repelled three assaults, and five more clashes are ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the aggressor carried out 13 attacks in the areas of Novotoretsk, Kalinovy, Lisovka, Krutoy Yar, Novogrodovka and Nikolaevka. The defense forces repelled 12 enemy attacks, one battle is still ongoing.
In the Kurakhovsky direction, the occupiers tried to advance 19 times near Tsukurino, Zhelannoye Vtoroy, Gornyak, Novoselidovka, Ostroye, Georgievka and Yekaterinovka. Currently, fighting continues in eight locations.
In the Vremivsky direction, our troops repelled two attacks towards Bogoyavlenka. The enemy launched an air strike with unguided missiles in the area of ​​the settlement of Priyutnoye.
In the Orekhov direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled two assaults near Rabotino.
In the Dnieper direction, three attacks by the invaders were unsuccessful.
