Moderator note: Units in the original designated as troops regiment, I suspect are simply local/military levies of poor quality/training. I think units designated here and in official Russian Ministry of Defense reports as Territorial Defense, are actual local levies of slightly better quality/training: Fellas who were handed a rifle and told to go stop a bullet. A lot of those are deployed to forward areas wearing trainers/tennis shoes.
Some of the original units I have re-designated because as they were, they did not make military sense.
It appears the Ukrainians are cross-detaching their ground units like crazy, probably to reinforce other units which have suffered heavy losses in infantry. As an aside, they aren't doing anything the Russians aren't doing.
Based on this and other reports, the Ukrainians have committed the combat equivalent of three rifle corps to the Kursk operation, on the NATO establishment.

First of all, I would like to show the changes in the force grouping for the period from the end of August to September 20, as well as the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces units based on open data.
The left flank of the Ukrainian Armed Forces grouping is in the area of ​​the villages of Kulbaki, Apanasovka, Komarovka, Snagost, Vishnevka, and 10 Oktyabrya.
At the end of August, it was held by units of
• 103rd Troop Regiment (2 battalions),
• 101st Troop Regiment (2 battalions),
• 1st Rifle Battalion, 1st Separate Mechanized Brigade,
• 1st Infantry Battalion, 152nd Separate Mechanized Brigade,
• 501st Separate Motorized Rifle Regiment,
• 116t Territorial Defense Brigade. 145ob,
• Border Guard Brigade "Steel Cordon", participating in the battles mainly with the forces of the 15th Border Detachment.
As a result of the counteroffensive of the RF Armed Forces, the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were thrown back to the line of the villages of Dar'ino and Lyubimovka. To stop this attack, the Armed Forces of Ukraine used reserves:
• 82 Separate Assault Brigade (2 battalions),
• 64 Separate battalion from the 44th Separate Mechanized Brigade,
• 202 battalion of the 103rd Territorial Defense Brigade,
• Detachments of the 73rd and 140th Special Operations Center.
The 1st infantry battalion of the 152nd Separate Mechanized Brigade was withdrawn from the battles.
The center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces group at the beginning of August in the area of ​​the villages Korenevo, Olgovka, Kalinov, Sheptukhovka consisted of:
• 22nd Separate Mechanized Brigade (6 battalions, including 1-2 in Sumy Oblast)
• Zhuravli - 225th Separate Battalion,
• Malaya Loknya, Pogrebki - 95th Separate Airborne Brigade (2 battalions, one more in reserve in Sumy Oblast),
• Kamyshovka, Martynovka, Cherkasskoye Porechnoye - 80th Separate Airborne brigade (2 battalions, one in reserve in Sumy Oblast).
Due to heavy losses, by September 20, units of the 22nd Separate Mechanized Brigade were replaced by units of the 41st Separate Mechanized Brigade (three mechanized battalions and 40th Separate battalion), reserves were also involved:
• 132nd Separate Reconnaissance Battalion of the Airborne Assault Brigade,
• 21 Separate Mechanized Brigade (one battalion),
• 22 Separate Special Forces brigade from the separate presidential brigade.
• 80 separate airborne assault Brigade was reinforced by a battalion of the 10 Separate Airborne Assault Brigade, which had previously operated in the Khar'kov region.
• 225 Separate Airborne Assault Brigade was withdrawn for attacks in the area of ​​the village of Vesyoloye, Glushkovsky district.
• 95 Separate Airborne Assault Brigade remained to defend itself with the 1st battalion in the area of ​​the villages of Pogrebki-Malaya Loknya, and the 2nd and 13th battalions were transferred for attacks in the area of ​​the villages of Vesyoloye, Medvezhye, Glushkovsky district.
The right flank of the Ukrainian Armed Forces group at the beginning of August, the villages of Russkaya and Cherkasskaya Konopelka, Pushkarnoye, Ulanok, Borki, Plekhovo, and Spalnoye consisted of:
• 61st Separate Motorized Brigade (five battalions, including one in Sumy Oblast),
• 92nd Separate Motorized Brigade as part of the 3rd Mechanized Brigade. battalion,
• One company of the ZK Shkval-92,
• 129 Brigade of the Territorial Defense (three battalions), in September transferred to reinforce the 12th Separate Battalion of the National Guard of the Republic of Ukraine, military unit 3052.

Losses of the group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for August, established according to open data - 687 dead and missing found, 57 prisoners identified.
Losses for September - 711 dead and missing, 22 prisoners identified.
The greatest losses according to known data were suffered by:
• 22nd Separate Mechanized Brigade - 210 combatants/infantry soldiers and 14 prisoners,
• 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade - 172 combatants/infantry soldiers and 4 prisoners,
• 82nd Separate Airborne Assault Brigade - 152 combatants/infantry soldiers and 8 prisoners,
• 61st Separate Mechanized Brigade - 102 combatants/infantry soldiers and 9 prisoners,
• 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade - 91 combatants/infantry soldiers and 5 prisoners,
• 41st Separate Mechanized Brigade - 67 combatants/infantry soldiers and 7 prisoners,
• 103rd Separate Troop-carrying Brigade - 66 combatants/infantry soldiers,
• 225th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade - 37 combatants/infantry soldiers (including 31 former prisoners) and 2 prisoners.
