The eighth week of the Kursk operation is ending.
The progress in squeezing out is moderate for us.
For Ukraine, the status quo is maintained at approximately 85% of the maximum advance achieved during the first stage of the operation.
However, this required a significant overexertion of forces from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. To date, in the Kursk operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have committed more than thirty infantry formations and units, tanks, artillery, sappers, UAVs, and rear/engineering/logistics support forces.
Accordingly, the logistical load has increased. Today, 11 entry points into the Kursk operation zone have been opened to replenish the Ukrainian Siversk group.
Six of them are located on those sections of the Russian-Ukrainian border that are completely controlled by the khokhols* (Wolfino - Politodelsky and Zhuravka - Mogritsa).
Five entry points are on the section of the state border between Politodelsky - n.p. Zhuravka are located in a no-man's land, where the enemy does not have a stable presence.
These points (11) provide all possible land options for organizing the supply/evacuation of the forces of the "Siversk" group:
- transportation of heavy equipment by lowboys and on their own;
- movement of armored fighting vehicles and medium-tonnage vehicles on asphalt and dirt highways;
- movement of light trucks/semi-trucks/horse-drawn vehicles on field, forest, and country roads;
- movement of foot reinforcements and delivery of goods "on the back" on field, forest, and country roads.
In such conditions, the organization of our full-fledged cauldron cannot yet be realized, and such a task has not been set for our troops.
Instead of chasing the foot caravans and individual motorized supply vehicles of the khokhly, the Russian command made the best decision for today - to hit the reserves and reinforcements of the Chubatants at the moment of their gathering in places of organization and assembly of the khokhlyat mobile logistic groups.
Such tactics justify themselves. And if the expulsion drags on until winter, the khokhly will also experience severe difficulties with camouflage in conditions of exposed foliage and heavy black earth autumn slush. When only roads with hard surfaces will remain open for movement.

The Russian Armed Forces, after a successful offensive on September 10-19 and repelling the main wave of attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Veseloye, are now conducting combat operations in a positional manner, preparing for the upcoming active actions.Of course, no one will rush "to the date" at any cost.

On the defense of Vesyoloye
On Veselmo (Kursk region).
1. The enemy has not abandoned hopes of breaking through our defenses and striking the flank of the group, which is actively operating against the western part of the Kursk salient. In the interests of active operations, reserves continue to be pulled up to the border from various directions, including to the detriment of the reliability of various sections of the front.
2. The main plan at the moment is to try to capture or bypass Vesyoloye and advance to Glushkovo in order to cut off one of the roads in the rear of the group operating in the area of ​​Snagost, Obukhovka and Lyubimovka +, if possible, capture Glushkovo.
3. At the moment, the enemy is not succeeding, due to the skillfully organized defense in the area of ​​Vesyoloye and Obukhovka, as a result of which the enemy suffers serious losses in men and armored vehicles. One can note attempts to shift the focus of the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from attempts to take Vesyoloye to attempts to bypass it from the east, but these attempts are currently being stopped. In fact, the transfer of reserves here is connected, among other things, with attempts to maintain the pace of the offensive in the hope that our defense will falter there.
4. For our part, it is now important to prevent deep breakthroughs of the enemy's mechanized groups deep into the Glushkovsky district, to tie up the enemy's reserves with battles and to continue to realize the existing advantage in forces in the Donbass.
