The largest number of clashes since the beginning of the day have been recorded in the Pokrovsky direction, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published operational information on the Russian invasion as of 16:00 on Saturday, September 28.
It is reported that today the number of enemy attacks has increased to 66, a third of which are in the Pokrovsky direction. In addition, the occupiers are actively operating in the Limansky, Kurakhovsky and Vremovsky directions.
"The border areas of Sumy region continue to suffer from Russian airstrikes. In particular, terrorists used guided aerial bombs on the areas of Kucherivka, Belokopytove, Studenko and Yunakovka, dropping 20 guided bombs. A number of settlements, Bachevsk, Yezdetske, Baranovka, Pokrovka, Miropolye, Shalimovka, Porozok, Boyaro-Lezhachi, Vozrozhdennoye, Timofeyevka, Yanzhulovka and Mykhailovo, suffered from artillery shelling by the terrorist army today. The enemy also carried out ten airstrikes, using 14 guided bombs on Kursk region.
In the Kharkov direction, the Russians conducted assault operations in the area of ​​Tikhyi, but the situation is under control. The enemy hit Shipovatoye in the Kharkov region with two air bombs.
"The enemy attacked our positions in the Kupyansk direction four times. Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy assaults near Sinkovka and Lozovaya. The battle continues near Tabayevka. The enemy is actively using bomber aircraft in this direction; today they have already dropped 14 aerial bombs," the General Staff reports.
In the Liman direction, enemy units attacked in the areas of Grekovka, Nevskoye, Makeyevka, Terny, Torskoye and Belogorovka. Since the beginning of the day, eight enemy attacks have been repelled, four combat clashes are ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the invaders carried out five assault actions near Kalinovka, Chasovy Yar and Kurdyumovka, and four attacks are ongoing.
In the Toretsk direction, Ukrainian defenders are repelling enemy attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Shcherbinovka and Nelipovka.
"The largest number of clashes have been recorded at present in the Pokrovsky direction. Thus, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have already made 24 attempts to push our defenders from their positions in the areas of seven different settlements. More than half of all clashes occurred near Selidovo and Nikolaevka. The defense forces, holding back the enemy onslaught, have already repelled a total of 20 enemy attacks in the direction. Others are continuing. The enemy is suffering significant losses in manpower," the report continues.
In the Kurakhovsky direction, the invaders attacked six times, trying to advance in the areas of Tsukurino, Georgievka and Yekaterinovka. The clashes near Tsukurino continue.
In the Vremovsky direction, the Russians carried out 10 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Ugledar, Vodyane and Yekaterinovka. Six clashes continue.
In the Dnieper direction, the enemy made one unsuccessful attempt to storm the positions of Ukrainian units. They struck with guided air bombs at Dutchany, Gavrilovka and Sablukovka, and shelled Lviv with unguided air missiles.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces showed on video the destruction of a column of armored vehicles and infantry of the Russian Federation near Kupyansk. In total, 23 units of equipment were stopped and destroyed.
