[Korrespondent] Over the past 24 hours, a number of settlements in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions have suffered from terrorist attacks by the enemy.
Since the beginning of the day, 65 combat clashes have occurred on the front. The Russians continue to actively operate in the Pokrovsky and Kurakhovsky directions. This was reported in the General Staff report as of 16:00 on September 22.
Thus, in the Kharkov direction, there were two enemy attacks in the area of ​​Volchansk. The battle is currently underway. The situation is under control.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy tried to advance towards our positions in the Petropavlovka, Sinkovka, Glushkovka, Kruglyakovka, Lozovaya and Stelmakhovka areas during the day. Five enemy attacks are still ongoing. A total of ten combat clashes have been recorded in the direction. The occupiers dropped a total of nine aerial bombs in the Kupyansk, Kupyansk-Uzlovaya and Pervomaysky areas.
The aggressor has increased the number of attacks to five in the Liman direction. Combat actions took place near Cherneshchyna, Druzhelyubovka, Novosadovo and Dibrova. Two combat clashes are ongoing.
In the Seversky direction, the enemy tried to break through our defenses in the Vyemka area. The situation is under control. The occupier also carried out air strikes with guided aerial bombs in the areas of the settlements of Ivanovtsy, Svyato-Pokrovskoye and Slavyansk.
In the Kramatorsk direction, our defenders continue to repel two attacks by the occupiers near Kalinovka and Klyshchivka. Near Grigorovka and Stupochki, five enemy attacks have already been stopped. The enemy used unguided air-to-air missiles at Stupochki.
In the Toretsk direction, the invader, with the support of attack and bomber aircraft, attacked four times in the areas of Dachnoye, Toretsk, Shcherbinovka and Nelipovka. A battle is underway near Toretsk.
The enemy's greatest activity remains in the Pokrovsky direction. Clashes of varying intensity have begun here 21 times today. Fighting is currently ongoing in six locations in the areas of Novotoretsk, Grodovka, Novogrodovka and Marinovka. The occupiers' aviation fired unguided rockets towards Alexandropol throughout the day.
The difficult situation remains in the Kurakhovsky direction. Near Gornyak, Tsukurino, Zhelaemy Vtoroy and Yekaterinovka, six assaults have been repelled, and four combat clashes continue near Konstantinovka and Gornyak.
In the Vremovsky direction, the aggressor is attacking near Ugledar and Vodyane, four clashes are currently ongoing. Also, enemy aircraft carried out strikes near Bogoyavlenie, Urozhayne and Rivne.
In the Gulyai-Polye and Orekhov directions, no active actions by the occupiers have been noted today. The enemy is carrying out air strikes and artillery shelling of our troops' positions and populated areas.
In the Dnieper direction, our defenders repelled one enemy assault.
Let us recall that earlier this week, The Wall Street Journal published an article in which it estimated the total losses of Ukraine and Russia in the war at 1 million people. At the same time, Ukraine allegedly lost 80 thousand soldiers, and Russia – 200 thousand.
