said that the group had entered a new phase of its battle with Israel which he described as an "open-ended battle of reckoning," in comments made on Sunday during a funeral for a top commander killed in an Israeli strike on Beirut's southern suburbs on Friday.
And no one blew up, for some reason. But he is right, you know: interesting times for the Hezbollahniks. The smart ones will learn something useful, the rest will be divided between lucky and dead.

#2  In the 1970s France gave up on Lebanon, which it had championed for nearly a millenium. The result was chaos and a Muslim take-over of what was once considered a Christian state. Macron's words mean nothing.
