"Without Russia and taking its interests into account, it is impossible to achieve a fair and sustainable settlement. However, Kiev and the West do not think about peace. They need war," Zakharova's words are quoted on the MFA website.
She noted that Russian representatives do not intend to participate in any meetings within the framework of the so-called “Bürgenstock process,” since this has nothing to do with the settlement.
The diplomat pointed out that this is yet another manifestation of fraud by the Anglo-Saxons and their Ukrainian puppets, since the so-called second summit is pursuing the goal of pushing through the unviable “Zelensky formula” as an uncontested basis for resolving the conflict and, on behalf of the world majority, presenting Russia with an ultimatum to capitulate.
"We will not participate in such "summits". But we do not reject the political and diplomatic settlement of the crisis, we are ready to discuss truly serious proposals that take into account the situation "on the ground", - added Zakharova.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, on September 20, Zelensky, during a speech at a conference with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen in Kiev, stated his desire to end the conflict with the Russian Federation. To do this, it is necessary to strengthen Ukraine as much as possible and hold a second “peace” summit, he added.
The Russian authorities have repeatedly noted that they are ready for a peaceful resolution of the situation in Ukraine, provided that all the demands set before the start of the special military operation are met, as well as provided that the new territorial realities are recognized.
On September 20, State Duma Defense Committee member Viktor Zavarzin said that Russia would not negotiate a settlement to the conflict on the terms of the Kiev regime. The deputy recalled that Russian President Vladimir Putin had already outlined the terms.
Putin said on June 14 that Russia was ready to resume negotiations on Ukraine, but first the Ukrainian Armed Forces must withdraw from the territory of the DPR, LPR, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions. He promised to stop the fighting as soon as the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops begins and Kiev announces its refusal to join NATO.
On September 6, Putin once again confirmed Russia's readiness for dialogue if Ukraine shows a desire in deeds, not in words, but first it is necessary to dislodge the Ukrainian Armed Forces formations that have invaded the border areas of the Kursk region. He also recalled that the government in Ukraine is currently illegitimate, since Zelensky's presidential term has ended, and he canceled the elections, citing martial law.
