“An American MQ-9 drone was shot down while it was carrying out hostile actions in the airspace of Marib province,” Al Masirah TV channel quotes him as saying.
The movement's representative clarified that this reconnaissance and strike drone was the eighth American drone of this type destroyed over Yemen since 2017.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, on September 2, the Blue Lagoon I oil tanker under the Panama flag and the Amjad vessel under the Saudi Arabian flag were attacked in the Red Sea off the coast of Yemen. Before that, Yahya Saria said that the Houthis attacked the Sounion tanker in the Red Sea and the Sw North Wind I dry cargo ship in the Gulf of Aden using UAVs, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles.
