[Regnum] The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Oleksandr Syrsky may be dismissed due to the failure in the Kursk region. This was stated on September 6 by the former head of the country's Ministry of Internal Affairs Yuriy Lutsenko.
“Syrsky will still be held accountable; he will be fired for this anyway,” he suggested.
According to him, in August, the head of the Kiev regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, faced a choice: to negotiate with Russia or to stage an adventure on its territory.
"Of course, our showman chose the second option before Independence Day. Our "guarantor" never cared about what would happen next," Lutsenko added.
In his opinion, Zelensky now needs to “find a scapegoat” in a situation where the best of the remaining units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, along with their equipment, were sent to the Kursk region.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, on September 6, Syrsky said that those called up to the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not undergo full training before being sent to the combat zone. He noted that the overall training period for military personnel before being sent to the front takes less than two months, of which only two weeks are allocated for specialized training.
On September 6, Deputy Chief of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces, commander of the Akhmat special forces, Major General Apti Alaudinov, said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are sending new units to the Kursk region every day and are suffering heavy losses. According to him, Ukrainian troops have recently begun to use both heavy equipment and drones less frequently, as they fear Russian weapons.
On September 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the provocation by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region was aimed at stopping the rapid advance of Russian troops in Donbass, but Kiev was unable to achieve this.
Ukrainian formations attacked the Kursk region on August 6. Russian military stopped them in the border areas, not allowing them to go deep into the territory of the Russian Federation. In total, during the fighting in the Kursk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 10.4 thousand soldiers.
