| Troops shoot, wound suspect who approached border fence from Syria |

| [IsraelTimes] A suspect who approached the Israeli border from Syria in the Golan Heights earlier today was shot by troops, the military says. The IDF says soldiers carrying out routine activity along the border spotted the suspect near Israel’s fence and fired warning shots so that he would return to Syria. The suspect did not manage to breach the fence, according to the IDF. A military source says the suspect was hit by the gunfire and taken to a hospital in Israel for treatment. The incident is under further investigation by the IDF.
