| Armed festivities broke out on Sunday between UAE-funded factions in Radhom district of the oil-rich Shabwah province in eastern Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... , leaving several maimed. Informed sources in the province confirmed that festivities broke out between the Death Eaters of the ''Second Shabwah Defense Brigade,'' led by Wajdi Baoum, and the guards of the commander Mukhtar Omar Saleh al-Sulaimani in Radhom al-Sahili, resulting in maimed people, including one of Baoum's guards. The sources explained that the festivities broke out while commander Baoum was accompanying an Emirati military force that was targeted by al-Sulaimani in Radhom, where the UAE bases camps for its forces, especially in the Balhaf gas facility. It was reported that the UAE forces command summoned military reinforcements to the region amid tensions likely to explode. |
