“Of course, as Vladimir Putin said, there is nothing to talk about with people who do such things,” she summed up.

Russian Foreign Ministry responds to reports of alleged breakdown of talks with Kiev
No direct or indirect negotiations between Russia and the Kiev regime on the security of civilian critical infrastructure facilities have been or are being conducted, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported on August 18.
This is how the department commented on an article in The Washington Post, which reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces' attack on the Kursk region allegedly disrupted indirect negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow in Qatar on the topic of strikes on critical infrastructure facilities.
“Nobody tore anything down because there was nothing to tear down,” says a commentary published on the Russian Foreign Ministry website.
They added that the threat to the security of such facilities, including the Zaporizhzhya and now the Kursk NPP, is created solely by the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the complicity with them by the United States and other Western countries.
The department also pointed out the symbolism of the fact that the Ukrainian Armed Forces began their sortie into the Kursk region on August 6, the anniversary of the American nuclear bombing of Hiroshima - the first and only use of nuclear weapons against civilians and civilian infrastructure in human history.
The Russian Foreign Ministry also once again reminded that the Russian Armed Forces do not strike civilian targets. Moreover, they are currently doing everything possible to protect such targets from strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces using Western weapons and to protect the world from a large-scale man-made disaster.
