[Regnum] The object with which two unknown persons tried to enter the territory of the Muslim complex of the Cathedral Mosque in Moscow turned out to be a souvenir and does not pose a danger, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the press service of the capital's main department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
“During the inspection it was established that this item is a souvenir and does not pose any danger,” the agency’s source said.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, security guards at the Moscow Cathedral Mosque detained two Turkish citizens with an object resembling a grenade on August 17. The detainees were handed over to law enforcement officers.
