| #7 It is a grave sin to offer a sacrifice near the location of the Temple while in a state of ritual impurity (since the Temple no longer exists, prayer has replaced sacrifice). Almost all Jews are ritually impure by virtue of being near dead bodies without being cleansed by ashes of the red heifer. |
