[Korrespondent] The Ukrainian Armed Forces are waging fierce battles in the south and east of Ukraine.
The most tense situation remains in the Pokrovsky direction. Fierce fighting is taking place in the areas of nine populated areas.
Since the beginning of the day, the total number of combat clashes along the entire front line has increased to 74. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are repelling fruitful assaults in nine directions, the General Staff reported on Tuesday, July 30.
Thus, four combat clashes took place in the Kharkov direction. Our defenders prevented three attacks by the Russians near Volchansk. The repelling of another assault continues.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy has tried to improve the tactical situation in the Novoosinovy ​​and Peschanoye areas three times. Two attacks are currently ongoing.
In the Liman direction, the enemy is attacking in the areas of Makeyevka, Nevsky, Verkhnekamensky, Pereyezdny, Vyemka and in the Serebryansky forest. In total, there are 12 combat clashes in this direction, of which six are ongoing.
The battle also continues in the area of ​​Chasovy Yar in the Kramatorsk direction. One attack has already been repelled.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy has already attacked our troops' positions six times. At present, battles continue near North and New York.
The most tense situation remains in the Pokrovsky direction. Fierce battles are underway in the areas of Zelenoe Pole, Kalinovoye, Vozdvizhenka, Novoaleksandrovka, Veseloye, Sergeyevka, Lisichny, Timofeyevka and Yasnobrodovka. The enemy has now made 32 assaults.
In the Kurakhovsky direction, one combat clash continues in the Krasnogorovka area. Nine attacks have already been repelled near Paraskoveyevka and Konstantinovka.
In the Vremivsky direction, our soldiers repelled four assaults towards Velikaya Novoselka.
One enemy attack was repelled in the Orekhov direction.
Recall that British intelligence believes that Russia may continue its tactical offensive in the coming weeks, despite limited overall operational capabilities.
