Norway's Best F-16 Fighters Are Not Going to Ukraine. Romania Is Buying Them |
2024-07-17 |
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited. by Igor Ivanenko [REGNUM] On the sidelines of the NATO summit in Washington on July 11, a Romanian-Ukrainian security agreement was signed. If it had not been for that, it might have seemed that Bucharest, like Budapest, was more of a Moscow well-wisher than an adversary. ![]() |

#1 Considering this is a Russian source, I'm not gonna put too much faith in it as it is just factually wrong. Norway bought 74 F-16A/B which are a 1983/85 version and 53 were upgraded to the Block 10 standard with two replacements ordered around the mid 80s. The ones that weren't upgraded are trainers or spare parts and not combat worthy. So Ukraine is getting the same variant the other NATO nations are giving. The same F-16 that flew in Desert Storm. Wheeeee. |
