[Regnum] The corvettes Rezkiy and Gromkiy left Vladivostok for sea. They will conduct joint exercises in the Asia-Pacific region, the Pacific Fleet reported.
As part of the exercises, the corvettes will have to carry out a number of activities in the Asia-Pacific region, including searching for and destroying submarines of a simulated enemy. "Rezkiy" and "Gromkiy" will practice joint algorithms of actions in air defense and anti-sabotage defense at sea.
The events of the exercises began to unfold immediately upon leaving Vladivostok. The crews worked out emergency preparation for combat and a campaign, and also conducted training to repel an attack by drones of a simulated enemy.
Before leaving for exercises in the Asia-Pacific region, one of the corvettes took on board a Ka-27PS helicopter.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, in June Russian and Egyptian warships conducted joint exercises in the Mediterranean Sea. During the maneuvers, they worked out the formation of a detachment of warships in a designated area, conducted communications training, and provided flights for deck helicopters. The frigate Al-Qadir participated from Egypt. The joint training in the Pacific Fleet was called another practical step in strengthening Russian-Egyptian naval cooperation.
The nuclear-powered missile submarines Severodvinsk and Orel of the Northern Fleet carried out practical missile firing at the "enemy" in the Barents Sea. The exercises were conducted in accordance with the combat training plan.
