| [NINANEWS] Unknown gunmen opened fire on a colonel in the Maysan Border Police, seriously injuring him and subsequently dying. A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: "A colonel died of his wounds after being subjected to an armed attack in Al-Ghadeer neighborhood in the city of Amara, the center of Maysan Governorate." The source added that the police arrived at the scene of the incident and opened an investigation into it without mentioning further details. |
