Since the beginning of the day, Russian troops have been increasing the pace of offensive and assault operations, looking for ways to penetrate the defenses and try to dislodge Ukrainian units from occupied lines. The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced this in an evening report on Wednesday, June 26.
The number of clashes along the entire front line has grown to 99. The hottest areas now are in the Pokrovsky direction and in the Kharkov region. At the same time, Ukrainian defenders are giving a worthy rebuff to the invaders, destroying personnel and equipment.
In the Kharkov direction, two enemy attacks continue in the Volchansk area. Another seven enemy assaults in the direction were repulsed - near Liptsy and in the Volchansk area.
Today's activity of the Russian invaders in the direction led to the loss of 124 people killed and wounded. Three artillery systems, four vehicles and one piece of special equipment were destroyed.
In the Kupyansky direction, since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian defenders have repelled seven assault actions of the Russians near Sinkovka, Berestovo, Stelmakhovka and Stepnaya Novoselovka. Near the latter, a clash is currently ongoing.
Eleven attempts by the enemy to improve their tactical position were unsuccessful in the Liman direction. The enemy continues two attacks in the areas of Nevsky and Makeevka. The situation is under control. The aggressor hit four UABs on the territory of Serebryansky Forest.
In the Seversky direction, the Russian army continues to be active in the areas of Belogorovka, Sporny and Razdolovka. Four attacks of the invaders have been repulsed, five more clashes continue.
In the Toretsk direction, the number of assaults by the invaders increased to seven. The enemy is making the main efforts attacking towards Toretsk.
In the Pokrovsky direction, the Russians are not slowing down the pace of their offensive. Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has attacked the defensive lines of the Ukrainian defenders 34 times. 23 assaults by the aggressor were unsuccessful, and another 11 enemy attacks are ongoing.
Fighting continues in the Kurakhovsky direction. Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has been attacking, in particular, near Krasnogorovka, Georgievka and Paraskoveevka. The total number of attacks here has increased to seven.
In the Dnieper direction, five enemy assault operations were unsuccessful. There were no losses of positions. In other directions, the situation has not undergone significant changes.
