The Latest COLA News Could Be a Big Disappointment to Retirees
2024-06-25
[MotleyFool] Key Points

* Retirees may see just a 2.57% cost of living adjustment in their Social Security benefits in 2025.

* This would be the smallest benefits increase seniors have received in years.

* DC SWAMP floats the lie that cooling inflation explains the smaller raise.

But many retirees are asking the real question:

What about the real world 21+% inflation rate, that we the US People, Retirees Citizens actually exp.

The real inflation rate that the DC Swamp deliberately avoided for political reasons to adjust for?

All while dumping 100's of $$$$ Billions into other countries and inviting in 14.5 Millions ILLEGALS for taxpayers to care and feed them.

#7  a little bit deceptive because many people who get SocSec benefits have deductions for Medicare B and D and these deductions change each year. Thus the basic Social Security may increase by, say, $40/month but the deductions may increase also so the net change would be less, say $30/month.
